Landon Fitzpatrick Band

The Full Story

The Landon Fitzpatrick Band offers a mixture of Traditional and Modern Bluegrass Music with their own unique twist. With over 75 percent of the show being original material, written by Landon, there is sure to be something for everyone.

In the summer of 2015, the original Landon Fitzpatrick band was formed.  The band consisted of Landon and a few friends who never really planned on doing anything more than picking and jamming bluegrass music around the campfire.

Landon, hailing from Chickamauga, Georgia, had access to a farm that was surrounded by a creek. The creek split on the backside of the farm and made a 2-acre island in the middle, with water flowing on both sides. The owner of the farm had built an access road to the small island and built a large fire pit, wooden swings, and benches for a nice place to relax. This place became known to the guys as "The Island," and it was there they would get together, and have fun picking bluegrass around the campfire.

Chickamauga is a small town, so it didn't take long for word to get out that the guys were picking every weekend on The Island.  It soon became the talk of the town, and folks began showing up and packing around to hear Landon and the guys pick and sing.

As the summer started winding down, Landon decided to start contacting venues in the Chattanooga area in hopes to cultivate an interest from local venues to host them throughout the winter.  The band was welcomed and became very popular among the locals in the area.  By spring and early summer, Landon and the band were playing all over the North Georgia, Alabama, and the Tennessee areas.

In 2019, Landon decided to retire the band and pursue professional opportunities, in which he traveled and toured with some of the finest bluegrass musicians in the country.  After 5 long years on the road, Landon decided he was ready to return to his roots and start his own band again.  He simply wanted to pursue his life-long dream of bringing his own original music and unique sound to the people.  Landon reunited with two of the original members of the band,  as well as other well respected musicians to form the new Landon Fitzpatrick Band.
